Great idea...plans for this weekend are a hike to the Lower Lake at Myakka River State Park...I went there recently but forgot my camera! Sanibel does sound good.
All the more reason to get yourself down to sanibel for a day. the refuge is full of migratory birds right now...white pelicans, merlins, all the herons, millions of osprey, warblers galore, raccons, horseshoe crabs, maybe even a look at a snook, redfish, or trout, etc.! maybe you can get some good spottings on the mangrove limbs.
Yeah...maybe I should break in and nab him...thanks for your comments IgCoastaNut. All is well just lot's of family and I'm having a hard time finding anything new & interesting to post right now...maybe this weekend.
it would be great to get him over to the J.N. Ding Darling Refuge on Sanibel Island. He wouldn't really have any predators there and his protection would be guaranteed. Great spotting. I have missed your presence lately on PN. I hope you are doing well!
Alligators in places not fit for alligators are common in Florida since there are so many of them. It is true that it would not likely survive in the wild with a lack of color. There are several dangers to those without color.
i imagine your feeling ,see the power animal inloco,it's frustraiting when this kind of things hapen and we cant do nothing
in europe is forbiden that kind of practice, maybee you can organize some kind of looby to press the owner's to give him to an refuge of some kind,it's a beautiful animal completly humiliated in a bad taste minigolfe publicity, good spot and congratulations for sharing
It might not have done good in the wild, I just hope they give it a proper enclosure, a mini golf place does not sound like they will properly care for an alligator!
