Field Notes

Description:

Northern native species, grows in damp areas, not an actual cedar, but an arborvitae (thuja). Very fragrent, wonderful to walk thru stands of these.

Notes:

Rather spectacularly hardy specimen clinging to a canyon wall of the Split Rock River as it approaches Lake Superior.
