Description:

This is a larger butterfly/moth. It measures approx 2" wide.

Habitat:

Tropical dry forest in NW Costa Rica, six weeks into the six month dry season

I will have to take your word for it. I can't seem to find one that exactly matches the speciman in my photos. I will have to go back there with a regular lens and see if I can get another shot. It is quite possible that there are similar no photo references in CR.
Hesperiidae, Antigonus erosus. From the perspective and the furry surface some of the typical markings are not so clearly visible and if you check my link you can see that your guy/girl is also quite variable within the species.
