Description:

This particular one is about 30 inches long, shiny, long black down-curved bill with a black casque on the upper mandible. Plumage is black and brown. This one pictured is an adolescent Philippine Hornbill. Fully grown Philippine Hornbills had red beaks and casques, and well as some yellowing of the plumage on the throat area.

Habitat:

This species is endemic to the Philippines.
