Description:

Disturbed this moth while weeding. Maybe 2 cm nose to wingtip. Pale with dark markings.

Habitat:

West central ga

Thanks Machi... I tried to research it to see if it was more widespread, but it seemed to only indicate CA in my search... but this definitely is welcome information (and I also didn't know bugguide had that feature!)
Hi momsavang, Mark's suggested species is more widespread than California. See https://bugguide.net/node/view/32034/data I don't know these so well myself to say if it is or isn't that species, but don't count it out because the source link was for California moths
I think I'm going to have to go with Machi on this one. The source for Clepsis peritana puts it in California and I'm on the other coast. I couldn't find anything that made me sure about the range. I'm not sure if I got a close enough picture to narrow down Totricidae... but I'll keep looking. TY!
