Thank you Liam! Guess they were taken to the reserve from another continent then; I tried looking for american kinds.... Thank you!
These birds do not have orange lores, which typical American White Pelicans have. That and the extensive head plumes make these Great White Pelicans (Pelecanus onocrotalus). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_White_Pelican
