Bufo debilis insidior
36.9031, -102.963
Field Notes
Description:
Green toads are typically a green or yellow in color with black spotting and a cream colored underside. They are not a large toad, growing to 2 inches in length.
Habitat:
They are nocturnal and secretive, and only readily found during and immediately after periods of rainfall, their habitat is semi-arid and often very dry.
Notes:
The green toad has a limited range in Oklahoma, and I was lucky enough to find one while road cruising. I wish I had better photos, but this was when I had gotten my first digital camera and wasn't very good with it yet.
