Field Notes

Description:

Black and grey striped planarium (flatworm). I'd never seen one of these before and didn't know these are carnivorous when I took the photos. When I found out, I noticed in pic 3 & 4 it was headed for supper!

Habitat:

This was making its way across a path at Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden after rain. I guess the earthworms it favors to eat come to the surface when it rains & it follows suit.

Very cool Craig! Looks very similar to the one I spotted a few days ago in Vietnam. kerry, no, they do not bite. They kind of dissolve their food. I held one in my hand, they are very slimy and leave a sticky film behind wherever they go.
I think it also can be found in Java Island. When I was young, this one make me run and sometimes cry.
