Description:

Two small golden brown beetles doing what comes naturally.
The case bearing leaf beetles (AKA Cylinder beetles) larvae build a protective case to live in.

Habitat:

Native habitat park in suburban melbourne

Thanks for your suggestion Livan. The case bearing beetles are curious and its my first (and, I guess second) sighting. I agree with your ID and that was my suspicion too. While I don't have the exact species I will place a tentative genus ID. @Leuba Thx, looks like there's more on the way too.
I don't know anything about Australia's Leaf Beetles. But I can say these are in the Tribe Cryptocephalini (US common name Case-bearing Leaf Beetles). The Genus is probably Cryptocephalus but that is a guess, it could be other. This is a large group.
