No Victor,Larus dominicanus is from souther'n hemisphere :) i'am in the north,Portugal,europe :) i load this to you in wikipedia "The Kelp Gull (Larus dominicanus), also known as the Dominican Gull, breeds on coasts and islands through much of the southern hemisphere. The race L. d. vetula (known as the Cape Gull) occurs around southern Africa, and nominate L. d. dominicanus is the subspecies found around South America, parts of Australia (where it overlaps with Pacific Gull), and New Zealand (where it is known as the Southern Black-backed Gull or by its Māori name Karoro). Thanks pyoung,i read the book a looong time ago:)in the time was a big mark in my live,it was times of revolution in portugal1974,fredom was the theme of all conversations,this book talk about the outsider gull,the one that is diferent,well a good reading in all times,i like you like it to:)
