Field Notes

Description:

It’s not so much the animal the carcass belongs to that interests me, as dairy cows often get loose in the area. I’m most interested in what killed and/or ate it down to clean bone so quickly. (I found it along my patrol route and I had not seen it just the day before)

Habitat:

Urban interface, California aqueduct location in the foothills of the Coastal Range
