Description:

A beautiful member of the group of beetles known as "Metallic Wood Boring Beetles". Brilliant metallic green head, thorax, and forewings. Gold and purple markings on the dorsal surface. Red legs.

Habitat:

Bores into Maple, Oak and Elm trees, where the larvae feed upon these woods.

Notes:

Adult beetle is approximately 1 - 1.25 inches long.
