Field Notes

Description:

A very battered looking male buck moth, missing a wing & soaking wet. I moved him under cover of our porch so at least he was out of the rain. It's the first I've found of this species.

Habitat:

Semi rural

Notes:

I believe this species is relatively uncommon around here.
