Eudynamys scolopaceus

Sorry, Sudarshana, as per Liam's explanation, this surely is a male asian koel. I went by the tail feathers and head. Since the bird was a bit disheveled, I mistook it for a Drongo. Your Id was correct, you might want to add the scientific name Eudynamys scolopaceus to your spotting too. Thanks for the correction Liam.
This most definitely is a Koel. The ivory, decurved bill is not found among the drongos. This bird is a bit disheveled, but I'm confident in this ID.
thank u sir.i thought it was a cuckoo, it was singing very sweetly, and i thought it is a koel what we called kuli, is it a kind of cuckoo? i got a opurtunity of survey on species of cuckoo found in assam for an NGO AARANYAK, but unfortunately i could not undertook the project due to an accident.
