Field Notes

Description:

This moth, with a body about 8mm long has been trapped by a tiny Spider, whose head is about 1mm across, which can be seen just to the left of the Moths eye. I did not see the spider until I looked at the picture on the PC just now.

Habitat:

Balcony, moth attracted from surrounding countryside by night light. Spider attracted by presence of good food sources. Limestone outcrop in foothills of Los Serranos mountains.
