Description:

These tiny thumb-nail sized frogs were everywhere around a small pond and along the edge of the river. I think they are the babies of the Mountain Tree Frog, an adult of which was identified by Ashley and can be seen here:

Habitat:

Oak-Pine forest north east of San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.

Species ID Suggestions

You have your ID correct, Lauren :) The suggested ID, Plectrohyla sagorum, is an endangered species only known from one population in Mexico, which is not where you found this guy. The also have an extremely small tympanum that the stripe down the side does not completely cover, it just borders the tympanum.
