Yes yours has some scale loss to deal with too. It's a tough one.
Thanks, so much, John. That is really kind of you. I tend to get pie eyes when comparing dots/lines etc. I love moths though. The northern part of West Bengal (a state in India)(adjoining another state called Sikkim) close to Bhutan is moth paradise. I haven't visited since the lockdown...but a trip there means loads of moths and me getting more and more cross-eyed, trying to ID. :)
Good Evening Sukanya, I am no moth expert, but the shape of the wings, the bands on the abdomen, the style of the antennae and the wavy patterns on the wings all lead me to think Crambidae; Spilomelinae. Of course, there are lots of them, but I will keep an eye open when I am am researching some of my own moths. John B.
I did see this moth on moths of India..that wavy blue line...when I look closely ..in my specimen there are actually 3...I cannot locate those on the A. salebrosa...but then mine are old eyes.
What do you think about this one? https://www.mothsofindia.org/#!/sp/355506/Anisoneura-salebrosa
Thanks, did a quick check...these moths look like as if they are cut out of wooden veneers...I have unidentified moths that I remember describing thus (ly?).. it will need serious study.
