Field Notes

Description:

It is a medium sized tan colored lizard with many lines and patterns. The topside has small white spots with two white lines that fade when it reaches the tail. Has bright metallic blue on the underside.

Habitat:

It was found at the top of a mountainous hill at the Carlsbad caverns national park. The area has many cactus species and animals like Darkling beetles and Scape moths.

Notes:

Seemed to be a juvenile, because of how small it was and how the patterns look.
