Born in the heart of the Alentejo, this oliveira with more than 1400 years of existence is part of the history of Portugal,it was ofered and transfered to the Serralves foundation in porto city,where this photo was taken summer,i have this photos in a lost file that i found today

Reaching great age is facilitated by the tree’s resistance to drought and fire; an olive tree destroyed above the ground can still be regenerated by its robust root system. Old olive trees can be recognized by their broad and sculpture-like gnarled trunks. Thanks Ava,i was searching for this file for weeks:) Serralves foundation is a top world Modern Art gallery,inataled in a ancient farm and gardens it's a beautiful place,i have at list a douzen of spots that show the place this summer
