Description:

Approximately 25 millimeters in body length, colored as shown.

Habitat:

Riparian corridor where an Amazon Kingfisher was also sighted at the same time.

Notes:

Note the stripes on the lateral surface of the thorax; and the pale dashed lines down the center of the abdomen. These markings distinguish the Slough Amberwing from the Eastern Amberwing and Mexican Amberwing.
