Carolina Chickadee
Poecile carolinensis

Field Notes
Description:
These Chicadees are high in numbers. They dive bomb surrounding trees for cover from the further away taller trees. Then they dive bomb the feeders. They are constantly on alert for predators, and rarely are more than 3 in any one location or feeder at a time. They sing for each other, I think, when the coast is clear. Because one will land, sing, and more will land nearby, but not too closely.
