White Lady
Thunbergia fragrans Roxb.
27.9378, -82.2859
Field Notes
Description:
Thunbergia fragrans is a perennial climber and is native to India and Southern Asia but widespread in the tropics including Florida[2] Hawaii,[3] Australia,[4] New Caledonia, French Polynesia,[5] Caribbean[6] and Indian Ocean islands,[7] southern Africa and Central America[8]
In many places it is considered as an invasive species. Despite its name, the flowers are not fragrant but the plant puts out a scent from the vine or leaves.
Habitat:
I found this vine growing roadside on a small side street between businesses and residences in Valrico, Florida.
