Stylidium calcaratum
-33.5665, 115.982
Field Notes
Description:
Small flower of about 23mm top to bottom. Colouration can vary from white to pink. The common name comes from the mechanism with which the flower drops its pollen on insects: the male and female reproductive organs are fused into a column which springs forward quickly when touched, dabbing the animal with pollen.
Habitat:
Dry eucalypt forest of Marri and Jarrah.
