Description:

Massive finely barred pale grey-brown; paler face broadly edged black and dark brown eyes with pink eyelids - generally visible when eyes are closed; smaller ear tufts are often laid flat and inconspicuous; white bill
Sexes are alike

Habitat:

Acacia woodland and bush; savanna country; often along river course and water course
Prefers large trees where it typically roosts on a large branch
