Field Notes

Description:

Two Russula mushrooms both about 4 cm tall. The slightly funnel-shaped caps had olive green centers gradually turning light brown at the edges, approximately 6 cm in diameter.

Habitat:

Grew nearby a European beech on soil and leaf litter.

Notes:

Spotted in Nieuwe Rande Forest in rural area of Deventer, Holland.
