Nice, have to go back to see them again :D
Their babies are now active and can wander off up to 2 meters away from their mothers. I have been observing the growth of this small family of 5.
Thanks, @Daniele for the SOTD :) Thanks, @Antonio for your kind words and support :)
Fantastic series Albert, congrats on the well deserved SOTD and thanks for sharing
Congratulations Albert, this beautiful series is our Spotting of the Day: "Meet a group of Red Leaf Monkeys (Presbytis rubicunda) in our Spotting of the Day! Red leaf monkeys are arboreal primates in the family Cercopithecidae, and are found through most of the island of Borneo. Red leaf monkeys owe their common name to their coat color and their diet, which includes fresh leaves, seeds, fruits and flowers. Borneo is one of the world’s most biodiverse regions. This holds true for primates, as across the island, 5 families are represented under which 8 genera, 20 species and 23 subspecies are found. Of these, 75% are endemic, and many face significant conservation challenges". Beautiful spotting, Albert. The little guy looks so sad in the 3rd photo.
Your spotting has been nominated for the Spotting of the Week. The winner will be chosen by the Project Noah Rangers based on a combination of factors including: uniqueness of the shot, status of the organism (for example, rare or endangered), quality of the information provided in the habitat and description sections. There is a subjective element, of course; the spotting with the highest number of Ranger votes is chosen. Congratulations on being nominated again Albert!
Great spotting! What good parents
