Field Notes

Description:

A species of beach grass, but I'm not sure which one. A relatively tall plant. Thin, blade-like leaves. Has the typical seed bunches of the grasses. Grows on sand dunes. Was introduced to the west coast to help stabilize sand, but has proven to be invasive.

Habitat:

Sandy dunes.
