Wildlife Spotting

The family is Cantharidae. Although the photo is a bit small and the relevant characters are hardly visible, I assume that is is Rhagonycha fulva, an introduced species from Europe. R. fulva has become very abundant in the eastern half of North America and seems to be spreading westwards.
