Field Notes

Habitat:

Grows in very dark environments as in the understory of dense forest, and the leaf litter in dense woods.

Notes:

A.K.A. ghost plant, ghost pipe, or corpse plant, there were several other in clusters along this hiking trail, however there were more decayed. This single one was the freshest one I saw. Very unique looking parasitic plant.
