Field Notes

Description:

Cymodoce truncata is a species of marine isopod crustacean in the family Sphaeromatidae.
Oval contoured body, easily rounds into a ball.
Body length of adult male 11 mm or more; smaller females.

Habitat:

Between leaves of Caulerpa prolifera in the salty coastal lagoon of the Mar Menor.
