Field Notes

Description:

Humock forming grass, growing out from a central point as resources from the centre are depleted, old plants form large circles.
The leaves are very sharp deterring herbivores, with the centre of old plants offering protected areas for palatable plants to grow.
The dense sharp leaves also provide refuge for little lizards.
