Field Notes

Description:

Probably a sand bubbler crab (genus Scopimera or Dotilla, family Dotillidae) displaying near perfect camouflage. Spotting was at rising tide so any telltale "pellets" had been washed away.

Habitat:

Ocean beach.

I don't know, Ashish. I believe mine is family Dotillidae which has only 59 species...you could check that out.
