Description:

This sandwich tern was spotted amongst a group of gulls, skimmers, and other terns. It is in its winter coloration. Only the foreground tern is a sandwich tern.

Habitat:

Coastal beach.

Notes:

The sandwich tern is protected in the USA under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.
