Field Notes

Description:

Tan, slightly orange fungi with a white center. The entire thing is about 3 or 4cm long and about 3 tall.

Habitat:

Sorry for the lack of photos, but this was found in between two parts of a large boulder. The photo is already zoomed in and lit up as much as possible. The area was shaded, moist, and concealed.

Notes:

A good site for finding organisms in a lot of Southern California is http://nathistoc.bio.uci.edu/index.htm. Maybe it could lead to further information and eventually an ID!
