Congratulations Christine, your Red Trillium is our Spotting of the Day! "Beautiful deep red flower but a pungent rotten smell! This Red Trillium is our Spotting of the Day! Native to eastern Canada and eastern United States, this perennial wildflower grows in cool, moist soils of woodland ecosystems. Trillium erectum blooms in the early to mid spring, and is pollinated by carrion flies attracted by its smell".
