Description:

Is a typical owl in North america. These specimens live in Antwerpen Zoo (Belgium).
The adult male is virtually pure white, but females and young birds have some dark speckles.

Habitat:

The Snowy Owl is typically found in the northern circumpolar region.Snowy Owls nest in the Arctic tundra of the northermost stretches of Alaska, Canada and Eurasia. Nests on the ground.
Is nomadic. No modern Central European species.
They feed on a wide variety of small mammals, mainly rodents.

Done in the zoo. This animal is so beautiful I just had to share the pics in Noah. I think all pics are from an adult female with exception of one of another specimen which I suspect is the male from the couple since is much whiteysh
