Description:

South American bird but has established colonies in CA & FL.

Habitat:

In urban areas feeding on palm fruit.

Notes:

I wonder if they nest in this metal structure...I often see them in it.

I think I've heard that before...that's how it goes with common names. But, scientist are continually changing scientific names, as well.
Have you ever heard these referred to (common name) as "nanday conure?" When I worked in zoos, that's what we called them but lately I keep hearing "black hooded." Any thoughts on that?
Thanks...it does seem like it might get rather hot in there.
Looks like a good choice for these cavity nesters.
