Pavon Emperor

Doxocopa pavon

Pavon female is one of the few Doxocopa without a tail, but looking at the place where the tail should be you see 2 gray stripes = Pavon.
It is not an Adelpha but a Doxocopa sp. but they look very similar. This is the female (!) Doxocopa pavon. Pavon shows significant sexual dimorphism: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/8489049
