Habitat:

common near most kinds of freshwater, including rivers and streams, as well as near the sea coast

Notes:

A while back I saw juveniles or non-breeding ones at this same beach. I only saw this one, in its breeding adult plumage, today working the beach well away from a large group of other small shorebirds. Here is the other spotting:
