Stanford Univ. campus garden, in shade.

Notes:

I see it's native to South Africa; I guess the climate in the south SF Bay area is similar.

Thanks to you who know so Cal; it's not a bulb we seem to be able to grow farther north, at least outside.
Cliva. A common bulb in LA landscapes.
