Field Notes

Description:

Lace Monitors can grow up to nearly 2 meters in length! These giant lizards, from my opinion, have the best 'weapons' out of all the animals in the animal kingdom. With crushing jaws, claws like daggers and a whip-like tail, you'd hate to be the prey and not the predator when this guys around!

Habitat:

These guys are most common around picnic around camping grounds where they pick up the scraps left behind.

Notes:

The females lay the eggs in termite mounds and leave, only to return when the eggs are about to hatch to free them.
