Description:

The elephant beetle Megasoma spp. are
moderate to large size species which biology is
poorly known. Megasoma anubis was recorded in
Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná (UNIOESTE), Cascavel, Paraná, Brazil .

Notes:

The use of
this beetle as biological indicator is suggested, since it is
ecologically sensitive, easily identified and important
for nutrient cycling.
