Description:

This beetle can be quite variable; this one is dark with wavy white stripes on its body. Its underside is quite hairy.

This beetle was feeding on flower nectar or pollen. The crab spider near it in the first picture was uninterested in eating it. Found at Barbara A. Beiser Field Station.
