Canada x Greater White-fronted Goose hybrid.

Liam , Due to the fact that this goose was in the company of a GWFG and a Canada Goose, I think that I will ID this one as CWFG x Canada Goose hybrid.
With GWFG x Canada the white on the cheek usually stretches into the white on front.
Did you see pic 2? Looks a little like your description! Thanks for checking this spotting out!
Definitely a Canada hybrid, but not necessarily a GWFG hybrid. It does have a white front, but you'd be surprised to find out that many Greylag x Canada hybrids show the same thing. GWFG x Canada hybrids usually show more white on the face than this, but really there is no real way to tell if a goose is a Greylag x Canada Goose or GWFG x Canada Goose, unless the bird is swimming. Greylag hybrids tend to have bigger butts.
Thanks Megan, We have a local pond. You should go thru my water fowl collection. Everytime I visit this pond i come back with a Hybrid!! It surprises me and sometimes shocks me!!.
very cool, canada x greater white- fronted goose hybrid. where did you spot it?
