Description:
Around 60cm in length, it is the smallest and most common of the hornbills. Mainly black with a pale belly, pale around the face and the edge of the tail feathers. It's large beak is also pale yellow with dark markings.
Habitat:
It is found in the Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia, in tropical and subtropical lowland forests. They feed mainly on fruit, but also eat small birds, lizards and insects and are also important seed dispersers.
