They are found throughout Europe and I believe part of Asia too. In North America the range is distributed throughout the continent, rather randomly. http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/PHOTO/LARGE/anse_albi_AllAm_map.gif

Yes, a very migratory bird! They are quite nomadic.

Nope, not a hybrid, but a pure blood Greater White-fronted Goose. They're not so common here, but I was lucky enough to have a flock of 96+ birds flying over my yard! http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7546183
@ Sarah,too many hybrids. Good or bad?
This looks like a hybrid goose I saw on here the other day. He was crossed between a domestic gray & a canada...but I cannot remember the name of him :(
