You're one crazy individual! I could never let one of those bad boys crawl around on my hands like that. Just the creepy crawly feeling of the eight legs. Spiders are definitely... Unique, to say the least
It has a small abdomen and it also has tibial hooks on its first set of legs. You can easily see them in your photo if you look about 1/3 of the way up from the "toes." These are used for restraining the female's fangs during mating. Not all species of tarantulas have them.
