Species ID Suggestions

Thank you Tony! I would not neglect craigwilliams opinion, he's an orchid expert! I think we both agree that it's probably impossible to narrow it down to the species. In this case my advice is to label it as spotted orchid for the common name, and put Dactylorhiza sp. as the scientific name.
As I have looked at some pictures on the internet I think you are right Daniele. Some of the flowers looked exactly the same.
Ok, I have just learned that I have to take the picture incl. the leaves. Thanks!
From the 3 lobed lip I would put my money on Dactylorhiza fuchsii, the common spotted orchid, but as Daniele says, it is a complex genus to ID with a many natural hybrids.
Hi Tony! This could be a heath spotted orchid (Dactylorhiza maculata) or similar orchid. The heath spotted orchid is quite common in France. With plants a picture of leaves is always useful or even essential! Also, the genus Dactylorhiza is quite complex and there are a lot of hybrids out there. I hope someone else can confirm or help further.
