Field Notes

Description:

This is the Red-bellied Woodpecker that has more orange around its eye than the other one, which has more white.

Notes:

This bird is becoming a favorite in my yard. It loves the suet, and visits at least once daily, often more. It will fly to the branches and wait until the other birds are done, usually, and then fly to the feeder and get its fill. While it waits, it makes grunts and noises.
