They are very difficult to photograph, always moving about every second. I now use high ISO, 400 or 800 (the grainy effect of the new sensors is not so bad), high speed. c 1/1000 sec and save as a raw file, jpegs come out rubbish. I then process the raw file in Adobe Lightroom. That way the pictures come out reasonably sharp even when it flies as you press the shutter.
this ones are dificult to spot Malcolm,allways moving between the branches,i spot one today and it was making 100 pictures to arrive to one or two fozy,beautiful litle bird,nice spot
